Lifeguard Training Certification (with First Aid)
This American Red Cross course is designed for students over 15 years of age who want to become lifeguards. AED/CPR for the Professional Rescuer is included in the 25 hour course. Students learn to recognize hazardous situations to prevent injury. They learn to effectively supervise swimmers, minimize dangers, educate pool users, enforce rules and regulations, provide assistance and perform rescues. Reviews and Challenges also offered periodically. The cost is of the full course is $300.00 and the cost of a recertification is $175.
There is a pre-test required for this class: swim 300 yards non-stop, retrieve diving brick off the bottom of the pool, and swim side stroke carrying diving brick. This test will be administered at the beginning of the course.
Lifeguarding Recertification Class:
Monday, June 24th
8am – 6pm
Must have Red Cross certificate that is current or expired within 30 days of the date of the course.
Full Lifeguarding Class:
Friday through Sunday, June 28th – 30th
8am – 6pm each day
