Lifeguard Training Certification
(with First Aid)

 This American Red Cross course is designed for students at least 15 years of age who want to become lifeguards. AED/CPR for the Professional Rescuer is included in the 30 hour course.  Students learn to recognize hazardous situations to prevent injury. They learn to effectively supervise swimmers, minimize dangers, educate pool users, enforce rules and regulations, provide assistance and perform rescues.  Reviews are also offered periodically. The cost is of the full course is $350.00 and the cost of a renewal is $210.

There is a pre-test required for this class: swim 300 yards non-stop, tread water for 2 minutes without arms, retrieve diving brick off the bottom of the pool, and swim carrying diving brick to starting point in 1:40. This test will be administered at the beginning of the course.  A partial refund will be given if the pre-test is failed.
