Lifeguard Training Certification (with First Aid)

This American Red Cross course is designed for students over 15 years of age who want to become lifeguards. AED/CPR for the Professional Rescuer is included in the 25 hour course.  Students learn to recognize hazardous situations to prevent injury. They learn to effectively supervise swimmers, minimize dangers, educate pool users, enforce rules and regulations, provide assistance and perform rescues.  Reviews and Challenges also offered periodically.

There is a pre-test required for this class: swim 300 yards non-stop, retrieve diving brick off the bottom of the pool, and swim side stroke carrying diving brick. This test will be administered at the beginning of the course. If a student does not pass this test, they will not be allowed to continue the course and all but $100 of the course fee will be refunded.
