Main
Outdoor Pool
Children's Outdoor Pool The outdoor children's recreational pool was constructed in 1997. It measures 2400 square feet (about 70x35 feet) and has a maximum depth of 2-1/2 feet. Located on the lawn between Meadowbrook and the Northwest Ice Rink, this pool has a number of features which make it a popular choice for children and parents. Separated
from the main pool by a fence and having a fully shaded lawn and new pavilion
offering shade and privacy, the pool is almost a club within a club. Elegant
and beautiful landscaping surround this pool with terra cotta edging and
green tile accents. The pavilion, reconstructed with pressure treated lumber
and dark green metal roof offers a great view of the pool and a popular
place to eat and have a party. Children love the zero depth walk-in at
the base of the shallow end complete with gentle water jets. Further in,
tiled crabs, angel fish and dolphins are found along the bottom of the
pool. A raindrop fountain and shallow water jets add excitement for kids
of all ages. Deeper into this pool you find benches along the western edge
of the shallow end, an island with a squirting whale and then the “deep
end” 30 inches in depth with four air bubblers for kids' enjoyment. Benches
continue around the perimeter of this end of the pool with stairs leading
up and out the entire western edge of the pool. Outdoor Tennis Courts Meadowbrook has four Har-Tru courts which are resurfaced each spring and maintained daily at optimum playing conditions. Har-Tru courts are a clay type surface which allows for less stress on knee, ankle and hip joints when playing. Courts are available for members and their guests' use from May until October. Courts may be reserved for play up to one day in advance. Maintenance (rolling and sweeping) of courts may be scheduled during unreserved times. "Tennis Only" memberships are available.
