Small Group Swim Lessons

 

Session 1 Fall lessons begin Monday, September 13th.

Open Registration begins Wednesday, August 25th at 8 am. 

New Families may register HERE to get on our mailing list.  

We will have 5 sessions during this next school year:

Session 1 – September 13th – October 24th

Session 2 – November 1st – December 19th (off the week of Thanksgiving)

Session 3 – January 3rd – February 13th

Session 4 – February 21st – April 10th ( off Spring Break Mar 21st-27th)

Session 5 – April 18th – May 27th

We have partnered with SPOT TV app for remote viewing of your swimmer’s lesson.

Lessons are 40 minutes in length and the cost is $130 per six week session.

PARENT-TOT SERIES

First Splash  (therapy pool)

Ages: 6 months. – 23 months old. Parent & Tot class.  Skills: Water acclimation & comfort (Class ratio 1:8)

Fun, songs and an introduction to swimming.  

Second Splash (therapy pool)

Ages: 24 mons. – 3yrs old. Parent & Tot class.  Skills: Water acclimation & comfort (Class ratio 1:8)     

More fun & more songs & preparation for an independent swim class without parent at 3 yrs. old.

BEGINNER SERIES

Pre Beginner 1  (therapy pool)

Ages: Three Year Olds. Skills: Water acclimation, comfort & age focused water skills (Class ratio 1:3)

First class without a parent.  Swimmers work on being able to comfortably submerge & get ready to swim.

Pre Beginner 2  (therapy pool)

Ages: 4 – 6 yrs old  Skills: Water acclimation, comfort, & age focused water skills (Class ratio 1:3)

Swimmers work on being able to comfortably submerge & get ready to swim.

 ** Swimmers 7 and older who are not comfortable submerging should choose a private lesson.

Beginner 1  (therapy pool)

Ages: 4 & 5 yrs old. — must be very comfortable & willing to go under water without hesitation (Class ratio 1:4)

Swimmers work to swim the length of the therapy pool with big arms, a strong kick & beginning breathing.

Beginner 2  (therapy pool)

Ages: 6 yrs – 8 yrs old – must be very comfortable & willing to go under water without hesitation (Class ratio 1:4)

Swimmers work to swim the length of the therapy pool with big arms, a strong kick & beginning breathing.

** Swimmers 9 and older who are not ready for the main pool should choose a private lesson.

Advanced Beginner 1  (main pool)

Ages: 5 & 6 yrs old — able to swim the length of the therapy pool without assistance, & breathe on their own (Class ratio 1:4)

Swimmers work to swim a good 25 yards of freestyle with proficient rotary breathing – a foundation for swimming success.

Advanced Beginner 2  (main pool)

Ages: 7 – 9 yrs old — able to swim the length of the therapy pool without assistance, & breathe on their own (Class ratio 1:5)

Swimmers work to swim a good 25 yards of freestyle with proficient rotary breathing – a foundation for swimming success.

** Swimmers 10 and older who still need help with rotary breathing should choose a private lesson.

BEYOND BEGINNER

Intermediate  (main pool)

Ages: 6 yrs – 10 yrs old- able to swim 25 yards without assistance, and  proficient rotary breathing (Class ratio 1:6)

Swimmers work to begin to grasp all four strokes with a special emphasis on a legal competitive breaststroke kick.

 

Diving Clinic  (main pool – deep end)

Ages: 6 yrs & older and currently enrolled in Adv Beg 1 or higher (Class ratio 1:6)

Swimmers work to learn the safe & effective way to dive from the side and the starting block in preparation for a competitive swimming race.
